Established in October 2004, P & L Livestock Pty Ltd was a joint venture by directors Owen Pettingill and Peter Lamond as a stock and station business predominantly, with a livestock focus. They saw the need to provide an independent agency that could service the rural sector with a more personal approach. After a few months the company saw the need to also provide real estate services to its growing client base, and in early 2005 a real estate arm was also added.

P & L is a family orientated business and finds its success lies in its continued loyalties to its clients and providing service over and above client expectations. The company prides itself on its growth in the industry and what the P & L name stands for and has become - a respected and market place leader.


P & L Real Estate specialize in a broad range of rural and residential sales, house & land packages, as well as coastal and country living properties and have a large array of knowledge and expertise in subdivision and council processes.

With over 40 years of sales and managerial experience in the Stock and Station Agency business, both in livestock and real estate, it was a natural progression for Owen to begin his own business, teaming up with partner Peter Lamond in 2004 to begin P&L Livestock Pty Ltd.

Owen has worked throughout the Lower and Upper South East as well as Western Districts of Victoria and the Riverland. Owen’s skills in marketing and auctioneering combined with his wealth of knowledge of this industry ensure that he is able to offer his clients the best possible options for marketing of their livestock and real estate. Locally born and bred, Owen knows the South East intricately.
